We are in the process of auditing Leeds Railway Station to improve accessibility. We are producing an accessibility inventory and accessibility audit. If you want to be involved in this project, please contact us here.
Update: LDPO conducted an Accessibility Audit with the Leeds Train Station Manager and Leeds City Council representatives on 4th March and found this to be a productive conversation. Some of the positive updates following this include:
- National Rail has started developing an app for the station which will talk to people and guide them to their platform / destination.
- There are three new ATMs located near the ticket barriers which are all at accessible heights.
- There are some issues around the accessible toilets but this is being addressed, and we are looking at working together to deliver an official opening for the new Changing Places toilet.
A further visit is being planned to continue this conversation and look at the other parts of the station, including the barriers and platforms.
